A little bit about me...
I grew up in Greeley, Kansas, and attended elementary schools in Anderson County and was among the first graduating class from Anderson County High School. The small school community provided me with many opportunities to receive a quality education. For this, I am very grateful.
Pittsburg State was my university of choice. I received my Bachelor of Science in Sociology in 1999. I worked as a nanny for several years before deciding to go back to school. In 2005, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have been teaching ever since.
My hobbies include art, photography, writing poems and stories, reading, playing games, and spending time with my family. I enjoy eating salty foods such as potato chips, pickles, and chips & salsa. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but I do like brownies. I love to learn new things and I find it amazing that I seem to learn something new everyday. I hope the students who pass through the classroom door will also learn something new everyday. My goal is to help each student become a lifelong learner.
