My name is Alicia Maloney and this is my fifth year teaching at GES. I was born in Oklahoma and grew up in many different places across Western United States. When I was 6, my family moved to Idaho where we lived until my Sophomore year in high school. For my Sophomore through Senior year, we lived in Missouri and I graduated from Lebanon Sr. High School in May 2008. I spent the next two years taking classes at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri.
In 2010, I moved to Princeton, Kansas where I live with my wonderful husband of six years, Jim. With his and my family's love and support, I graduated Ottawa University with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in May 2013. During my time at OU, I was blessed with the opportunity to student teach under our very own Mrs. Graham in fourth grade here at GES. I loved it so much that I decided to come back!
Although my husband and I do not have any children together, he does have two pretty awesome boys from his previous marriage. I do have one "child" and that is my puppy, Prancer. He is nine years old and loves to eat, sleep and play...in that order.
I have family in Kansas, New Mexico, Missouri, Idaho, and Texas. My mom lives in New Mexico. My oldest brother, Michael, is a United States Airman and is currently stationed in Nevada. He is married to Christine and they have a beautiful daughter, Mady, a handsome son, Randy, and another beautiful daughter, Adelena. My younger brother, Kevin has two beautiful daughters, Summer and Autumn, and handsome son, Kevin Jr. in Texas. My two youngest siblings, my sister, Brianna, and my baby brother, Jace, also live in Texas with our Dad. I also have two wonderful godchildren (one boy and one girl) who live in Missouri.
In my free time I enjoy reading, playing card games, or getting some fresh air hunting with my husband. Thank you for the opportunity to teach your children and I hope we all have a fabulous year!
