FIFTH GRADE SCIENTISTS
Grade 5 students participated in hands on lab experiments in science class.
Kindergarten Pilgrims enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner at GES.
BOOK FAIR 2018
Students enjoyed shopping and selecting books from the GES Book Fair. Thanks to the parents, grandparents, and friends who supported our Book Fair. Book Fair Door Contest winners are: 1st 3D; 2nd 6S; 3rd KS. Also thanks to Mrs. Pracht, librarian, for making this opportunity available to our school.

EARTH BALL VISITS GES
Thanks to Anderson County Soil and Conservation for bringing the awesome Earth Ball to Garnett Elementary. Below Mrs. Durand’s class enjoys watching it blow up, and using their geography knowledge to find different countries and places.

GRADE 2 SOCIAL STUDIES
Grade 2 students have been studying about people in our community and their jobs. Recently second graders enjoyed learning about the roles of some of the GES staff workers.

RIGHT: Mrs. Whitney Barnes, our school nurse, tells students about her job caring for and trying to keep all of the students in our district healthy. She gave the students 2 tips. Cough into your elbow and wash your hands often as flu season approaches.
